Evolve

September 7, 2014 Kat Harding

Wow, what a month July was. It flew by and was absolutely amazing and I cannot thank everyone who helped make the Active Nourish Grateful challenge what it was enough, especially my partner in crime, Nicole Kropp.

But we can’t spend too much time reminiscing as there are even more exciting things to come for Mint and Magik and Yoga Kiss!

In particular, I am about to embark on a 4 day Teacher Training module with Simon Parkes, ‘The Awakening of the Mandala of Asana’s. Yes, I am a qualified yoga teacher but there is so much more learning to do, in fact there are a list of different teachers / yogi’s / courses / books/ types of yoga that I want to try or learn more about but it will come over time.

One of the great things about yoga, is that you can always learn, you can learn from your own mind, soul, your body, the bodies of others, the minds of others and so on. One of the things that is often not projected through a stunning, picture perfect yoga photo is that those who take them still feel (sorry if that’s a big generalization  but it certainly is for me) have so much to practice and learn, even from the postures that we may have mastered. In addition to that our bodies, minds and souls are continuously evolving, they move and change with the weather, the world, our surroundings, the people we surround ourselves with so even if we have mastered something one day, a change of mindset the next may change that the next.

But that’s ok, because life evolves, the things we are interested in, want to learn and want to project or show others changes. It’s the circle of life as the Lion King says… and I wouldn’t want it any other way.

So the learning and evolving continues… wish me luck!
