Join me for a 2.5 hour yin yoga workshop to hit the reset in time for Autumn and the rest of the year to come. This workshop will provide an introduction to the practice of yin yoga, it's benefits and then will move into a juicy yin practice helping to release the physical, emotional and mental stress and resistance that we don't even realise we build up in our bodies. The class will finish with a full yoga nidra relaxation giving you the opportunity to feel the full effects of your practice and walk out of the studio feeling completely at ease and ready for the week ahead.
A little bit about yin yoga & why you should try it...
Many of us are familiar with the terms of yin and yang, movement and stillness, stress and relaxation or even energy and lethargy. In this fast paced world where we continue to grow and develop ourselves, our careers, our relationships and our lives we often spend most of our days in our yang or stress state and very little taking the time to find space for yin and relaxation.
Yin yoga is a long, slow and deep variation to complement your daily life and yoga asana practice. It is both active and restorative where you are asked to hold a postures for 5-10 minutes. This provides a deeper stretch and opening within the physical body and the opportunity to challenge your mind to find stillness through following, noticing and observing the shifting of energy within the body.
This class is for all levels of practice and is great for everyone – yogi’s, athlete’s office workers and more!
