Yoga is about more than just an asana / physical practice, and in fact, as outlined by Patanjali in the Yoga Sutra's there are eight limbs (or parts) to yoga of which only ONE is a physical practice.
In this workshop we will explore the eight limbs in practice, starting with a short talk about the Yamas & Niyamas and how we will use them in our practice, followed by a practice of Asana, Pranayama, Pratyahara, Dharana and Dhyana.
So what does this mean? We will be exploring the way in which we treat ourselves and interact with the world around us, a physical asana practice of sun salutations and yin yoga (at times without our sight - carefully guided by me of course), mindfulness techniques and a short meditation to finish before our relaxation.
This class is suitable for all levels, as it is a great introduction to Yoga - what it is, what it means and how we can use it at home, work, in our relationships as well as building our practice on a mat.
Our workshop will finish with a cold pressed cleansing juice and delicious protein ball thanks to Made By Krista and the opportunity for you to ask as many questions as you would like.
