About Kat

Hailing from Brisbane, Australia Kat Harding is a qualified Yoga and SUP Yoga instructor with a passion for the outdoors and healthy living.

At the age of 16, without really knowing why, Kat requested and received a Yoga DVD for her Christmas present. From there her love for movement, sports, being active and outdoors slowly began to grow in different ways including experimentation with different yoga teachers, classes and styles until at the age of 24 she decided to complete her teacher training in the UK with Laxmi Yoga (Sally Parkes).

Having completed her business degree with a major in Human Resource Management at the age of 20, Kat worked and travelled and in 2012 moved to the Isle of Wight in England to work and continue her travels through Europe. On a trip to Sri Lanka in 2013 Kat rekindled her love for yoga at the incredible Talalla Yoga and Surf retreat and returned to the Isle of Wight to practice yoga with Sean Schofield (trained by teachers including David Swenson, John Scott, Richard Freeman, Kino McGregor, Ana Forrest) where she found the right teacher to continue her learning and finally take the leap towards becoming a qualified yoga teacher.

Shortly after completing her training Kat returned to Australia to follow her passion of combining yoga with nature and completed her SUP Instructor and SUP Yoga instructor training in Noosa Heads QLD and Rose Bay, NSW. She has continued teaching regular weekly classes since then in her local paradise of Noosa Heads and on the Sunshine Coast.

Kat believes in moderation in everything she does and through her yoga experiences has learnt the importance of simply listening and feeling what your body, mind and spirit is telling you. She credits many of her life learning’s to following her intuition, perseverance and working hard for what you love.

In 2014 Kat co-hosted the Get Active, Nourish & Be Grateful challenge on Instagram which manifested into a venture where she co-authored a 61 page EBook with Nicole De Valter (Holistic Health Coach) containing simple easy to follow active living tips, fat burning circuits, yoga flows, easy to make clean recipes for all different diets and ways of living and mini meditation and pranayama guides (buy it HERE).

Kat has also been featured and interviewed for blogs by Flight Centre Business Travel, Sunshine Coast Metropolist, Flight Centre, Vie Active Wear, Wanderlust Festival Australia, Anchor Shapes Paddle Boards and Mint + Magik and has had write ups in the Courier Mail U on Sunday Magazine, Wanderlust Journal, Salt Magazine, Why Fitness on the Sunshine Coast, Orbit Magazine and East Sider Magazine (Sydney), as well as having her pictures featured from time to time by Amanda Bisk (Olympic Pole Vaulter and inspirational yoga teacher) and in the Lorna Jane Unique look books.

Kat is a Luminary for Fire and Shine, a Wanderlust Presenter for Wanderlust Australia & New Zealand, an Ambassador for Wellicious and a Shine From Within team member. She is proud to be able to work with such inspirational companies to spread her knowledge about yoga and healthy living to a wide audience of gorgeous teens, women (and men).

She also teaches yoga for surfers at Noosa Festival of Surfing, hosts SUP Yoga Retreats in Noosa Heads (the only ones to be held in Australia) and Croatia, and holds regular Vinyasa Flow classes, including POP UP YOGA in Noosa Heads (during the school holidays only).
